I flew into Dublin the day before the wedding and drove from the airport across to Galway and Ashford Castle. The drive took about 3 hours and passes through some beautiful parts of Ireland. Ashford Castle was built in around 1200 AD and has to be the most spectacular venue I have ever photographed at. I met Emma and David and we headed straight for the church and the rehearsal. This is actually the first time I have been to a rehearsal and it was great to familiarise myself with all the important members of both families and get to meet the priest.

Emma and David both live in Jersey, David’s family are Irish and so they decided to get married in Ireland with close family and friends. The Irish have a knack of making everyone feel so welcome and it was real pleasure to spend the day with both sets of families, all of whom made me feel so welcome.

Here are a few of my favourites from their special day.
