Victoria + Andrew | Cheshire

I drove up to Cheshire on the Friday night and Victoria and Andrew asked me to join them for an evening meal with their families at the pub where I was staying. Both sets of families made me feel so welcome that night and at the wedding and it was a real joy to document this wedding.
The best man, James, delivered one of the funniest speeches I have heard and the tone was set from there with a wild evening party, some great music and lovely guests.

I know Victoria and Andrew really love their B&W images and so alot of these images reflect that.

Cathy + Craig | Avington Park

Cathy and Craig’s wedding was a very emotional affair and really tested me as a documentary wedding photographer. Cathy’s father gave a very tearful speech full of emotion and sadness, and when the whole room goes quiet and you can see a picture in front of you what do you do. I chose to shoot through the silence and hopefully got some images that when they look back on them in years to come will remind them of that very powerful speech.

Here are 3 images from Victoria and Andrew’s wedding in Cheshire that I shot this weekend. I must thank the couple and their families for making me feel so welcome, we all met up for a meal on Friday night and it was a real pleasure to meet all 4 generations of the Sharp family.

Syon House Wedding Photos | Krista + Greg

This was my second visit to Syon House, the last being some 2 years ago. I love this venue, the conservatory is just magnificent and a great backdrop for a wedding. Krista and Greg’s wedding was as magnificent as the reception venue, it was a day that was full to the brim, along with different modes of transport and as Greg’s family all came over from Ireland the day was full of great characters as well. I have to say I was a little concerned about a 2 hour boat trip but as luck had it the weather prediction was wrong, as always, and the trip down the Thames could not have been smoother. Krista and Greg made such a great couple to photograph and the first dance must have been a surprise to Greg, with Krista pulling off some great moves.

I was helped on this wedding by Anil , again, and I am thrilled with the results that we achieved. It was also great to work again with Gary at Gorgeous films. This is a longer post than normal and the slideshow at the bottom is about 6 minutes long.

I met Elaine and Alec a couple of times before their wedding and it was so great to build up a friendship and an understanding before I documented their day. I think its vital to try to meet as many couples as possible before their wedding day it just makes the whole day alot easier for both the couple and myself. Alec and his friends have keen eyes for photography and it was great to talk to them during the day about photography, a bit of a busman’s holiday for me.

Nurette + Andrew | Cliveden House Wedding

Nurett and Andrew were married at Cliveden House in Berkshire, I had heard alot about this venue from friends of mine and it is truly stunning, and has a very personal feel about it. Stars of the day for me were the paige boy Oscar and Nerutte and Andy’s beautiful daughter Sophie.

Oscar read a poem he had written about the couple during the ceremony that had everyone in stitches, and provided the best man with a very tough act to follow. Sophie was just gorgeous.

The whole day was a real intimate affair with close family and friends, I really love these types of weddings and it was a pleasure to document. here are a few images and a slideshow at the bottom.
